Adding a New Mail Account in Outlook Express
To create a new Outlook Express mail account, follow the directions below.


Configuring a New Account

Step 1: From the Tools menu, choose Account. Select the Mail tab.

Step 2: Click the Add button. From the Add menu, choose Mail.

Step 3: In the Display name text box, type your name.

Click the Next button to continue.

Step 4: In the E-mail address text box, type in your Pentel Net email address.

Step 5: In the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server text box, type mail.pentel.net. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server text box, type mail.pentel.net.

Click the Next button to continue.

Step 6: In the Password text box, type your password.

Click the Next button to continue.


Step 7: Select Connect using my phone line.

Click the Next button to continue.

Step 8: Select Use an existing Dial-up connection.
Step 9: Select your Pentel Net Dial-up connection. Click the Next button to continue.
Click the Finish button. Click the Close button.


Reconfiguring an Exising Account

Step 1: From the Tools menu, choose Account.
Step 2: Select the Mail tab.
Step 3: Select the account to be reconfigured..
Step 4: Click the Properties button.
Step 5: In the Mail account text box, type mail.pentel.net
Step 6: In the Name text box, type your name.
Step 7: In the E-mail Address text box, type your e-mail address. For example, username@pentel.net
Step 8: Check Include this account when doing a full send and receive.

Step 9: Select the Servers tab. In the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) text box, type mail.pentel.net. In the Incoming Mail (POP3) text box, type mail.pentel.net.

Step 10: In the Account name text box, type your username. In the Password text box, type your password. Check My server requires authentication.

Step 11: Select the Connection tab. Select Connect using my phone line, and select PentelNet for the Dialup Networking connection.

Click the Okay button.
